Saido Berahino courted by Burundi with West Brom striker yet to play for England senior side

The striker was called up for the win over Scotland and has represented England from Under-16s to Under-21s but is still eligible for the country of his birth

Wanted man: Berahino on England duty earlier this season

Saido Berahino is being courted by the Burundi national team.
The country's coach, Walter Rainer, has made a cheeky attempt to take advantage of the fact that the West Brom striker has yet to play for the England senior side.
Berahino, who was born in Burundi, has scored a total of 17 goals so far this season for the Baggies. His latest was the only goal of the game as his club saw off Southampton last Saturday.
He came to England alone at the age of 10 to join his family who had already been granted asylum in Birmingham.

The frontman went on to represent the Three Lions at U-16 to Under-21 level.
But although has already been rewarded for his fine form this season with a call-up from Roy Hodgson he has yet to play for the Three Lions.
Berahino was drafted into the squad last November ahead Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and a friendly against Scotland.

17Goals
3Assists

He didn't play in either match, however, which means he is still eligible to play for Burundi.
The country's audacious move comes after Nigeria launched a bid to try and snap up Liverpool's Jordon Ibe.
The 19-year-old has also yet to play for England and qualifies for the Super Eagles through his father.

Will Berahino be in the next England squad?
