Tomas Rosicky: Arsenal 'fought through the disappointment' of Monaco defeat to beat Everton

 

Tomas Rosicky admits Arsenal had to 'fight through' the disappointment of their Champions League defeat to Monaco when they faced Everton on Sunday.
The Gunners fell to a galling 3-1 loss to the Ligue 1 side on Wednesday night, but recovered to see off Roberto Martinez's side at the Emirates, courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud and Rosicky.
The Czech acknowledges that Arsenal were not at their best against Everton but praised his team-mates' battling qualities.
"You could see that the lads were affected by it and the technical level of our game was not there," Rosicky told Arsenal's website.

"It was difficult as we were affected by the loss to Monaco but you go through disappointments throughout the season, you just have to fight through it.
"I’m glad we have these three points, it’s very important for the confidence of the whole team.
"It was a difficult game. We weren’t at our best after the disappointing night against Monaco, so it was very important to win and get the three points, which we managed in the end."
