Hot water: Cole must answer an FA charge
Carlton Cole has been charged by the FA for a tweet sent to a Tottenham fan after West Ham's draw at White Hart Lane.
Cole went down injured during the 2-2 draw, with the Hammers players opting to play on rather than kick the ball out of play so he could be treated.
A Spurs fan sent the tweet: “Hi @CarltonCole1 when your own team-mates don’t kick the ball out when you’re lying injured for 2 mins, you think it’s time to call it a day?”
Cole responded by telling the supporter to 'F off' and called him a 'c***'.
The tweet was swiftly deleted but the FA have requested an explanation for his actions.

A statement from the Football Association read: "West Ham United’s Carlton Cole has been charged by The FA in relation to a comment posted on social media.
"It is alleged that the comment was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper and/or brings the game into disrepute.
"The player has until 6pm on 5 March 2015 to respond to the charge."

It is the second time the striker has landed himself in hot water for comments made on social media.
In 2011, he was fined £20,000 for tweeting during England's friendly against Ghana: “Immigration has surrounded the Wembley premises! I knew it was a trap!
“The only way to get out safely is to wear an England jersey and paint your face w/ the St George's flag!”
Stoke defender Robert Huth was banned earlier this season over comments he made on Twitter, before his loan switch to Leicester was confirmed.

Should Carlton Cole receive a ban for the tweet?
