The Gunners sit just one point behind second place Man City but despite winning eight out of their last nine in the league, Mourinho is not convinced
Arsenal sit just one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League table and with eight wins in their last nine Premier League outings, look more likely to push Chelsea close.
But when he was asked about Arsenal's chances, Mourinho shelved the idea of the Gunners putting up a fight, citing their Champions League failing against Monaco.
He sighed: "What momentum? 3-1 against Monaco? Or 3-0 against West Ham? Depends on the momentum."
Mourinho's men moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League table with their 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

On that penalty, you sensed Mourinho's disappointment, but he refused to open up.
He told the BBC after the match: "My opinion is not important.
"For Chelsea, it would be impossible. Impossible to be given, and that is my view."
Mourinho said: "We started well but the penalty changed the rest of the first half. We stopped playing and made some mistakes.
"When Ramires came on we killed their counter attack and had complete control of the game.
"We had a lead of five points and now we have a lead of six points with one less game to play. I'm not happy with the result but I'm happy with the situation, the six-point lead."
